About Dominique Vandenhoudt

Based in Cape Town, Filmmaker & Photographer. Belgian- born Dominique Vandenhoudt has worked extensively for all major TV Networks in Europe covering numerous headline stories & documenting a host of interesting people with interesting stories. These include the likes of Nelson Mandela, Desmond Tutu, Bono, The Dalai Lama, Yasser Arafat to mention a few.
Dominique started his career as a sound-engineer and later as a cameraman. One of his first professional assignments was to cover the Fall of the Berlin Wall for ITN. While working in Belgium Dominique was introduced to the new concept of Video Journalism based on the principle of one person handling planning, researching and scripting the story and that same person filming, interviewing and editing the final report. His latest project is the Voices of Humanity   documentary for the Ayyoub Foundation.
